FAQs

  • My cash pay fee is $190 per 60-minute therapy session. I can offer a reduced rate depending on availability. All clients who are paying privately are welcome to request a superbill for potential "Out-Of Network" reimbursement from their insurance. Check with your insurance company to determine whether Out-Of-Network telehealth therapy sessions are a covered benefit.

I am also in-network with Aetna and Cigna. If you are a member with one of these policies, I can verify your insurance benefits and determine specific treatment costs.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based therapy approach that focuses on using mindfulness and acceptance strategies to target problematic behaviors that prevent you from reaching your values-based goals. It has been found to be particularly effective for anxiety, depression, OCD, and eating disorders. Visit this link for more info.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is an evidence-based therapy approach to address the obsessive thoughts and compulsive behavior associated with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Visit this link for more info.

All of these approaches stem from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which you can find more info on here.

While I find it important to utilize evidence-based approaches in my treatment, I also want our therapeutic relationship to feel authentic and genuine. I want to get to know you first and foremost, and am always open to feedback if you feel the approach we are taking is not working for you. I am not a “manualized treatment” kind of therapist, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the healing process.

  • It is incredibly common for clients to doubt whether their experience is “bad enough” to require treatment. I want you to know that there is no “must be this depressed/anxious/sick enough to get help” sign in front of my therapy door. Everyone deserves the space to process their experiences free from judgment. Period.

  • Great question! First off, it’s not easy to open up to a complete stranger, and the therapy process can take some time to feel like you’re seeing noticeable results. My hope is to create a transparent space for you to work toward your personal goals. If I feel as though I am not meeting your needs effectively, I will be open with you about this, and will actively work with you to find additional/alternative forms of treatment. Additionally, if you feel that we aren’t a good fit, I am connected with a wide variety of providers with whom I’ll be happy to connect you.
